Featured Topic
This month's feature topic focuses on Conflict of Interest. A DCSS or contracting employee with personal interest in any Title IV-D case shall make known such interest, in writing, to their supervisor, and will not be involved in any aspect of any such case as part of official duties or on state time.
It is the responsibility of all staff to protect the privacy of our customers as well as refrain from creating conflicts of interest within our staff. Clearing your desk of all Personally Identifying Information (PII) at the end of the day, locking your computer before you walk away from it and redacting all PII from training materials or any documents or pictures shared with staff unless the information is necessary to perform the direct functions of their job. PII should not be housed in shared drives that will be available to DCSS staff or contracting employees that may present a conflict of interest. A list of information which is considered PII can be found in the Privacy and Safeguarding Information policy.
