1 Employer Undeliverables are prepped.
  • Remove the yellow return sticker and affix it to the first page of the returned document.
  • Be sure not to cover case/hlci number or employer FEIN number, Employer Name, and Address.
  • Discard the envelope and additional pages into the shred bin.
  • Batch together with no barcode/separator page.

Employer correspondence that is returned as undeliverable. Addressed to the employer and normally has a yellow undeliverable sticker applied by the post office.

ERT Undeliverable Example

2 Undeliverables are scanned
  • Log into the scanner workstation.
  • Locate the Capture Perfect program, double-click.
  • Select DCSE Mail: ERT Single Page.
  • Clean Scanner
  • Load prepped documents into the scanner. Select the Scan Button Next to the drop-down menu.
  • Record count when scanning is complete for updating the production log.
  • Select Stop Scanning on the dialog box and exit the program.
  • Capture Perfect creates an image file that is saved to K:\LSA Common\ERT INCOMING, where ERT Teams will work.
 
3 Documents are retained for 5 business days
  • Add a post-it note with your initials and date scanned.
  • Documents are bundled with scanned documents, excluding T1, T3, MOD, NPA, and ARU, and are filed in the CMI repository and purged after 5 business days.
